November Webinar: monika hardy & the Innovation Lab

November 11, 2011 in Webinar

Join monika hardy from the Thompson School District as she shares some of the work emerging from the Innovation Lab, an attempt to make a place of learning in a space that isn’t your typical school.  She’ll share her and her students thoughts about what learning should look like, where self-reflection fits into learning, and what they are learning together as they make the city of Loveland a piece of their curriculum, if not the whole thing.

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011 – 3:30pm: monika hardy - be you

Hosted by the CO Learning Network.  All events will take place in our Adobe Connect space and archived for later viewing.

We believe the biggest change in ed will be who’s together in a room or space, per choice. We’re thinking if you love what you’re doing, you’re good. If you don’t, well, why wouldn’t you want change.  There has been plenty of theory and research invested in what we are doing, and that will be ongoing. But mostly, we have had the privilege and delight to indulge in experimentation, failure, prototyping, etc. To practice vulnerability in context.  We’ll be sharing our current best attempt to capture the key elements learned from key failures. Our desire is that anyone anywhere can experience the exhilaration of learning in spaces of permission to be.
